Valuations works to quantify the worth of assets that have yet to prove their public market value.

These assets include intellectual property, shares or financial instruments. Valuation might be required as part of financial reporting. It also becomes critical when assets are transferred: for example, if a start-up business is sold, when two businesses merge or when assets are being handed on as part of an inheritance.

Our work also forms part of litigation cases, where we provide valuation support to a legal team or act as an independent expert. In addition, our team works with tax specialists providing valuations required for UK or international tax purposes and provides assistance to clients in relation to commercial valuation matters, including business reconstructions.

This work is about more than numbers: many assets can be valued only by placing them in a wider narrative. That’s why we welcome graduates and apprentices from a variety of backgrounds who demonstrate natural curiosity and the writing skills to prepare complex reports for non-technical audiences. If you have specialist knowledge in an area such as science or technology, or speak languages in addition to English, so much the better.

Join our 40-strong national team and we’ll make good use of your individual strengths, skills and knowledge. You’ll have early responsibility but also plenty of support from colleagues around you. You’ll work towards ACA, an internationally recognised qualification that opens doors in finance, accounting and business.
